For my first official post, I will repeat a post that is on the Burdick Family blog, so some of you might have already read about this. I better first give you a little background. I have two sisters that were both diagnosed with breast cancer in the recent few months. They are both courageous ladies with amazing attitudes towards this awful card they have been dealt. My sister, Carol was the first to be diagnosed. She has had surgery and is currently going through six rounds of chemo. My sister, Susan will have her surgery soon. Anyway, back to this story, when Spencer heard about his Aunt Carol, he said "If Carol has to go bald, then I am going with her!" Well, as luck would have it Carol has lost her hair. So Friday morning, Spencer announced that it was the day he was going to go bald. I really did not think he would actually go through with it. I told him to be sure that he really wanted to, and he replied, "Mom, a promise is a promise". Could I really tell him no? So Dean got the clippers and cut it all, then got the razor and shaved the rest. I suppose Dean is the expert on bald heads!! Here are the pictures of the process.
I am actually a little proud that Spencer had the determination and courage to go through with this. He is quite a little man!
